The upcoming MINI John Cooper Works hardtop was just caught testing in Sweden and our spy photographers stepped closer to make sure they catch every little detail.

And such details told us that this is the JCW model as the camouflage did a very good job at keeping everything a secret from a distance. The front bumper, for example, has two more intakes compared to the S model and all four wheels have red brake calipers behind them, with the “John Cooper Works” logo too.

However, compared to the Concept we saw earlier this year at Detroit, the car in the photos has different side skirts and rear bumper, making it a quite peculiar appearance.

As for the technical details, the new JCW model could end up using the new 2-liter turbocharged engine fitted on the recently revealed 225i Active Tourer that makes 231 HP and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque from as little as 1,250 RPM.
