Early this morning, Citroen responded to leaked photos of their latest concept spreading across the internet by showing us their prickly "Cactus" in full. Right as official details came out, we received word from our spy photographers that a full production car is already out and testing.

Just like the Frankfurt concept, this has the beefy proportion of a crossover because the body comes 2/3 up the hight of the car. Proportions are only slightly larger than Peugeot's 2008. The proportions of the production model probably mirror those of the production car, at 4.21 meters long, 1.75 meters wide and 1.53 meters tall.

This new model will be part of Citren's C-Line family and is probably based based on the new Efficent Modular Platform 2 which they spent €360 million to develop.

Word on the street is the Cactus will be ready for 2015 production, probably to be revealed at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. That's about the same time when they said Hybrid Air technology, which coincidentally has been fitted to the concept, will arrive.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
