Porsche is busy developing the next generation Boxster and Cayman now, after it has revealed the 911 in all its glory. They will be ready within a couple of years, so the rest of the range need some freshening up as well.
Thus, the first prototype of that’s to become the Panamera facelift has hit the streets for some testing in Germany. This test mule only sports changes to the headlights and LED foglights, but new clusters are sure to pop up round the back as well. It’s only natural that these will follow the look of the 911 that was revealed last week.
Bigger changes are to take place in 2015, when the Panamera will become sportier with the arrival of a two-door version that could come to market under the 928 name.
What this huge four-door really needs is a buttlift, not a facelift. Expect to see the new lines in about a year's time.
