Our spy photographers have recently come across a heavily covered Peugeot 4008 test vehicle , with the car out for play in Spain. It seems that, even though the car was revealed online at the end of September, the carmaker still doesn’t want anybody to see it in person.
Underpinned by the Mitsubishi ASX platform, the vehicle will be available with four-wheel-drive or front-wheel-drive. The first will allow the driver to select between three modes: two-wheel drive, four-wheel drive and Lock, for when the terrain gets rough.
As for the engine range, this will include a 1.6-liter entry-level petrol engine, as well as a 150 hp 2.0-liter petrol and the 110 hp and 150 hp oil burners. The Peugeot 4008, along with its Citroen C4 Aircross sister car, will make their debut at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show and will hit the market in the second quarter of next year.
