Spyshots: Opel Astra 5-Door Facelift Undisguised

Our team of dedicated spy photographers have managed to catch up to a completely undisguised Opel Astra facelift as it was undergoing testing. The most obvious changes the car has underwent are made to the front fascia, where new lights, a restyled lower grille and some funky fog lights are all part of the change.

The lower grille has had a black strip added at the top, where the number plate sits, while the upper grille has also been slightly changed: the bar that holds the Z badged is thinner and lower.

There will also be some extra chrome trim here and there for the most popular car Opel has, but overall the changes look minor. Round the back, we spot a set of updated taillights and a modified bumper with a chrome strip just below the number and another at the bottom of the tailgate.

All the changes are there, but the overall impression is that you’re looking at a better version of the same car.
