The reason the camo on his supposedly secret Cooper is bright orange is because MINI is so proud of it that they want you to see it. It’s the JCW GP, a more extreme version of the most extreme version of the hatchback.
These photos show the stripped-out and lowered MINI attending its track day on the famous Nurburgring track in Germany, where all performance machines stretch their legs.
The car sports a different lower bumper, side skirts and diffuser. It’s also got the lightest possible wheels and a lowered suspension, plus a huge boot spoiler at the rear.
The extreme MINI Cooper JCW with GP kit is likely a limited production car, of which 2,000 will be built. The reveal is expected to take place at the end of 2012 or early next year in Detroit.
