Within just a few weeks, Mercedes will unveil the new S-Class, a luxury car that will probably reshape the market in its image. The Germans have worked hard to develop it into not only a four door, but also a couple of two-door models and two more to replace the Maybachs.
This is the very first time that one of those Maybach-replacing S-Class models have been photographed. Our people with long camera lenses were able to get really close to the car they say will be called the 600 Pullman.
Rich clients will chose this S-Class model for its superior rear passenger space. The difference in size is visible clearly when the Pullman is compared to the regular sized S-Class in silver standing in front of it. The rear doors are much longer. Things like drinks coolers, massaging seats and complex infotainment systems integrated into the seat backs are also a given.
The 600 Pullman will of course be powered by a big 6-liter V12 engine fitted with twin turbochargers. Don't confuse this with any AMG car, since the setup will be aimed at seamless power use rather than quick gear changes and radical acceleration.
