Our team of spy photographers recently came across a convoy of test vehicles wearing the three-pointed star during a trip to Spain, where they found Mercedes testing both the facelifted version of the E-Class, as well as the new-generation S-Class.
We’ve written quite a lot about the next-gen S-Class so far this year and since the test vehicles didn’t reveal anything new, we’ll focus on the revamped version of the E-Class.
Visually, the car will receive a multitude of changes to the front end, as well as rear-end modifications, with the new styling cues expected to use the design language shown on the fresh A-Class. The facelift will also bring a set of interior changes for the E-Class, but the prototypes tested here didn’t allow our shooters to see anything.
The facelifted E-Class will also receive more equipment, and this could borrow some of the all-new features that will be introduced by the new S-Class, such as a complex system that will adjust the suspension according to what a set of cameras that monitor the road ahead “see”.
