Spyshots: Mahindra Genio

Mahindra pickups are an important part of the Indian automotive market, so we decided to see what was going on in this part of the automotive world.

We have to advise you that we are going to talk about a workhorse that, unlike US or European ones, is nothing more, so when buying this kind of car, you have to be prepared for the fact that features which many of us take for granted on a car, such as AC, are seen as special ones here.

Getting to the point, we'll tell you that our spy photographers have recently caught the Mahindra Genio testing with camouflage on.

The Genio dual cab has been launched earlier this year, so we are probably looking at an enhanced version here, probably the one that also offers four-wheel drive.

The Genio is based on Mahnidra's Xylo platform, which is shared with multiple vehicles belonging to the company, including a sedan. The automotive producer is currently testing a 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine for the vehicle, and we assume that this is what's under the hood.
