As a company, Lexus really has made huge leaps in the past couple of years in terms of design, the perceived quality of the interiors and in the tech they put into those hybrids.
But you can't really play with the cool boys unless you have a fast car. That's why Lexus is preparing a new GS F, a real F, not an F Sport.

This prototype for the car is currently undergoing testing at the Nurburgring and we have more than enough photos to prove it.

The mule for the new 2015 Lexus GS F sports the very same type of exhaust seen on the IS F, with two pipes on either side stacked rather than side by side. There's a rumor that says this car will have a 5-liter V8 engine good for 465 hp, which contradicts the fact that this is supposed to be a rival for the BMW M5 or Merc's E63 AMG, both of which have around 560.

The prototype also has a boot spoiler, diffuser, new multi-spoke alloy wheels, side skirts and bolt-on under-spoiler at the front. But these are all actually parts from the TRD catalog, stuff you can already buy in Japan.

Is Lexus really going to give us a performance saloon on a tight budget? Hopefully not!

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
