Meet the new Lamborghini Cabrera, aka the new Gallardo. These photos show the new V10 supercar undergoing the first hot laps of the Nurburgring track in preparation for its debut.
The Cabrera replace one of the best selling supercars ever made which has stayed in production for a decade. Big shoes to fill, ones which will be packed with a new 600 horsepower engine, still a V10, but offering more than even the best Gallardo model can muster.
All that power will go through a revised e-gear system and all-wheel drive to produce 0 to 100 km/h time superior to the Ferrari 458.
So what about the styling? Has this car been designed by an 8-year old? Maybe, but it's actually nice to see the pantomime is back. The headlights are without a doubt the most striking detail of the prototype. Two V-shaped wedges form a new unit which is an evolution of the current model.
