Automakers are constantly finding new ways of blending architectures and styles to create cars that are more suited to customer’s tastes. It’s called clever marketing and among these creations, we’d mention the lifestyle crossover and the sports utility... coupe.
The idea of blending MPV and crossover characteristics is nothing new in Europe. Renault has been offering mono-volumes with raised suspensions for a while, and don’t get us started on VAG’s jacked up hatchbacks. This interesting-looking vehicle is called the Kia Rondo, and it’s basically like an i30 or cee’d only better for the family. Once it hits the market, it will be in a class of its own, with only the Renault Scenic offering resistance.
The European version of the Hyundai model will be known as the ix35, so obviously it will be available with all-wheel drive. Both diesel and petrol engines will be borrowed from the i30/cee’d.
