We already know Hyundai is getting ready to introduce the 2015 Genesis at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show later this month, but it looks like the South Korean automaker is busy testing a brand new vehicle in Europe as well.
We’re not talking about another sedan or one of the upcoming N Performance-badged vehicles, but an all-new van which was caught testing in the form of a camouflaged prototype by our spy photographers. Unfortunately there’s no actual info about this future people carrier/hauler, but it looks we’ll be getting something a bit bigger than the familiar H1.
The photos suggest the new Hyundai van will be a competitor for the very popular Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and should arrive in different sizes. The vehicle shown below is a high roof version and appears to sport the automaker’s current design language, including the headlamps and the front-grille.
There’s no word on what engines Hyundai might fit under the hood, but expect the new van to be launched with the 2.5-liter CRDi diesel found on the H1 - most likely the 170 HP version.
