Ford is working on a replacement for the Galaxy MPV, which together with the S-Max have been on the market since 2006, with a facelift taking place back in 2009.
This means that the test vehicle spotted by our spies in Germany is actually a test mule for an all-new vehicle, still wearing some of the old skins.
VIsible changes include a wider track and that changed nose, which most likely features the same sort of Kinetic Design as the 2012 Focus and 2013 Escape or Fusion.
Judging by the twin exhaust and the fact that the fuel filler cap is sticking out, this Galaxy is powered by a new powertrain, and our best bet is the 2.0-liter Ecoboost, detuned to about 240 horsepower.
But the rest of the powertrain lineup will be borrowed from the European Mondeo. Expect the replacement for the Galaxy to arrive early next year.
