Ferrari is getting closer and closer to bringing the second generation of the Enzo to the world, with the F70 prototype being spied by our team while it was out testing in Maranello, the Prancing Horse’s home town.
The test mule you see in the adjacent images still has a lot of miles to travel until it is transformed into a production vehicle, but the proportions, even though blurred by the massive camo, show Ferrari’s intentions of going extremely far with the performance of the car.
At the moment, we can’t tell you exactly what will allow the Enzo II to please its and the driver’s ego, but we’re expecting the Prancing Horse to gift the car with a hybrid powertrain consisting of a V12 unit delivering around 800 hp (this should be an evolution of that used on the F12 Berlinetta) and an electric motor that will provide around 100 hp.
The fact that Ferrari has probably chosen to combine its first production hybrid powertrain with its range-topping supercar shows that the company is serious about this, but also means that we’ll have to wait a while until it arrives.
