We’ll tell you a little secret: when we pick a photo for one of our stories usually a front three-quarter view is best suited for the job, since it shows more of the car and it does so in a dynamic manner.
But since this prototype is still camouflaged, we thought it was best to start out with a shot that best iterates what the M3 is all about. As you’ll know by now, the new F30 3-Series sedan is wider than its predecessor, giving it improved handling in the process. However, the M3 sedan that was recently spotted by our spy photographers is wider still, and from the back you can clearly see how huge the tires are and how wide the fenders.
The big news with the next M3 is that it’s supposed to be powered by a 3.3-liter V6 engine derived from their 4.4-liter V8. The unit might have as many as three turbos to reduce lag and will offer the lighter M about 450 horsepower.
