After the V-Class, it's time for more Mercedes unveilings… of sorts. Our spy photographers in Scandinavia spotted two test engineers coving the next three-pointed star, the S205.
S205 is Mercedes fan talk for the next C-Class Estate, based on the same platform as the groundbreaking sedan. Like it, this big boot on wheels will benefit from groundbreaking and class-leading technology, from the suspension to the infotainment and safety systems.
Looking back at the stunning C-Class we saw a couple of weeks back in Detroit, it's hard not to imagine this prototype is filled with fine leather and brushed aluminum.
However, this C-Estate will be every man's Mercedes. You might be able to buy a cheap one with a Renault-source 1.6 eco-diesel, one with an AMG-style body kit or get an executive-style grille.
As the new C-Class sedan is already out in the open, it's easy to imagine what the next compact estate from Mercedes looks like. BMW's F31 could be in serious trouble.
