Even though the new Dacia Longan was revealed just a year ago at the Paris Motor Show (September 2012), it seems they're working on a facelift already. Or at least this is what we've being led to believe by this test prototype, recently spotted undergoing testing.
Although the prototype has the grille and headlights of the new Renault Symbol, the side flashers are from the Logan. Both cars are basically the same, but we don't know which is getting the facelift.
One possibility would be that Renault wants new bumpers for the Symbol in order to introduce it to a wider audience. The other is that Dacia wants to change the look of their car in order to match the Duster, maybe adopting some new technology as well.
Remember, at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show, Dacia revealed the Duster facelift which now has a 1.2-liter turbo engine rated at 125 hp. It would be nice to have this in the Logan, especially since the model is currently capped at just 90 hp.
With the first generation Logan, Dacia launched a prestige model about a year after the initial debut. This range toppper came with the biggest engine of the range, a 1.6-liter 16-valve engine, and this "Logan Prestige" model could be what they are preparing right now.
