Spyshots Confirm 2015 Mustang Will Have an Independent Rear Suspension

There’s been a lot of talk about the new 2015 Ford Mustang, including its Evos concept-inspired styling and the addition of a new turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Furthermore, rumors were also indicating that the sixth-generation pony will also get an independent rear suspension for the very first time.

And since Ford is still mum on details, we can only speculate on what the 2015 Ford Mustang will offer. At least list until later this year when hopefully the vehicle’s first official information will be published. In the mean time, a couple of spyshots with the 2015 Mustang have basically confirmed that the next-gen musclecar will feature an independent rear suspension. Just notice the bumper cutouts that make way for the exhaust to be routed around the new suspension.

In case you have any doubts about these spyshots being authentic, the vehicle also sports a manufacturer’s Michigan plate. And as you might have already noticed, the body fitted on the new S550 platform belongs to a 2013 Ford Mustang, so there’s nothing to see as far as the new exterior styling is concerned.

Well, this is it! The Mustang is losing its traditional solid rear axle and this pierce of information should trigger some really interesting discussions among pony enthusiasts. We would like to hear your opinion as well, so don’t be shy about using our comment box below.
