The newest addition to the BMW X family, the X4 Sports Activity Coupe was unveiled in concept guise at the Shanghai Auto Show earlier this year. We all got excited to take a look at the baby X6 and we weren't disappointed.
Following in its brother's successful shoes, we're expecting the X4 to be even more popular. Its smaller size and more stylish design, X3 (proven) chassis and wide range of engines will definitely make it the public favorite once it hits the market.
Until then though, BMW will thoroughly test it in every possible environment. Since it will be fitted with the xDrive system, you can rest assured that the hills near the Bavarian company's headquarters will be assaulted by the new SAC.
However, most of the customers will be using it on public, city roads and that's where our spy photographers caught up with it. Judging by the way things went down with all the previous models released this year (4 Series, F15 X5, i3) we're expecting the new X4 to look a lot like the Concept car, and that's music to our ears.
The X4 will probably be unveiled later this year and will go on sale early 2014. After all, BMW has to bring some new cars to Frankfurt, doesn't it?
