BMW is serious about its future electric models, and one string proof for this lies in the flow of spyshots related to this matter. After we recently showed you a series of spy photos of the i3 production prototype, we are now giving you a 7-Series that seems to be using electrons to move around.
Our photographers came across this prototype, which shows some signs of electric propulsion. If you zoom in on the front wheels, you’ll see what seem to be wheel hub motors. It is obvious that there have been some serious changes to both the front and the rear wheels, as these no longer fit in the their arches. We also get a set of pretty narrow tires.
Since BMW decided to go down the electrification route, building a large electric sedan would make sense, as this would allow the automotive producers to compete against Tesla and Fisker, which seem to be gathering more and more attention on the market.
