The New York Auto Show is set to be hosting a couple of debuts from BMW, the F26 X4 among them. For most of us though, that’s just too far away. Therefore we have to get our hands on every bit of information possible about the new car.
The most recent batch of spyshots with the new car is also the most revealing. The Sports Activity Coupe was caught off guard in Amberg, Germany, wearing a beautiful shade of Melbourne Red and less camo than up until now.
Furthermore, the photographer was also able to get close to the car and take some really interesting stills, showcasing its curves. Just as expected, the front fascia will look a lot like the one on the F25 X3 LCI, with a powerful single unit made up of the kidney grilles and the headlights.
Round the sides, powerful character lines are visible on the doors, going all the way towards the back where stoplights similar to the ones on the 3 Series GT are visible.
However, the rear quarter panel doesn’t look as big as expected and headroom for the backseat passengers might be limited, a problem people expected BMW to solve after the X6 fiasco.
If the car will be unveiled in April, sales are expected to kick-off somewhere around June at an estimated price of around €50,000.
