As 2014 creeps closer so does the launch of the Life Cycle Impulse for the F25 X3 BMW. The SAV will turn four next year, and it's about time it gets a new face and some new technology.
Our most recent spyshots show that the LCI model will benefit from the advantages of LED headlights. Furthermore, the turn signal lights look like they've been drastically changed while on top of LED lights, the car will most likely get a new front fascia with the lamps connected to the front grille, similarly to the F15 X5.

Other technical improvements might include some new safety features and the Traffic Jam Assistant, launched on the 2014 X5. Engines will most likely remain the same, with the possibility of a hybrid still lurking around.

Our inside source claims that the facelifted X3 will be amongst the first models in the Bavarian line-up to get the new B family of engines. That being said, the displacement will remain the same but output will vary and all of them will be Euro 6 compliant.

Diesel plants are the bread and butter of the Sport Activity Vehicle and with sales ever on the rise, they will get most of the attention. That means that the xDrive18d and xDrive20d will most likely be in the center of attention.

Other than that, inside the cabin things will remain the same with small changes done here and there to make things feel like they belong in 2014. The new iDrive system will most likely be included with its touch-sensitive surface included as well as new processing power for the Navigation system and its graphics.

Expect the new model to be released sometime next year, if not at Geneva, at Paris in Autumn, with prices slightly increasing not only due to the new tech but also to the increasing demand recorded in Munich.
