Spyshots: BMW 135i 3-Door

We can’t say we’re blown over with the idea behind the BMW 1-Series. On the one hand you think you’re getting an economical car, but realize its interior is still no match in size for the Golf. On the other hand, you realize after you’ve clicked the 120d box for the full 184 hp experience, your car costs as much as a bigger 3-Series and you haven’t even ticked the leather seats yet.

But if there’s one thing that’s good at BMW, it’s their performance cars. The model you’re looking at here is the 300 hp 135i, equipped with the usual 6-cylinder twin-turbo engine. This is a regular version of the 3-door car, but there will also be one built by M Division. Yet this has the same sporty wheels and body kit.

The M Performance model was recently shown as a concept car, and it will most likely go into production with a 320 hp version of the same twin-turbo N54 inline six-cylinder engine.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
