Cutting a patch through a snowy road is something no sportscar should be asked to do, but of course the TT is no ordinary sportscar, it's an Audi from the land of quattro all-wheel drive. Customers have high expectations in terms of safety and comfort from this car, which is exactly why Audi engineers are testing the third generation car in the most extreme conditions before launch.
Expected to be revealed this spring and go on sale a few months later, the new Audi TT is based on the same platform as the new A3 family. MQB architecture developed by the VW Group means commonalities between engine mounting points, as well as common parts that allow for cost savings.
So what does this new coupe look like? We don't have a complete picture, but Audi has revealed bits and pieces. At the Consumer Electronics Show, the interior was revealed, having controls integrated into the air vents and an all-digital speedo. That was followed up last week with the debut of the Shooting Brake Concept. Compare that with these spyshots and you will see the headlights, grille and taillights are the same.
All these teasing on Audi's part is leading up to the official unveiling of the TT Coupe in March at the Geneva Motor Show.
