We’ve been covering the development of the Audi R8 facelift since last year, mainly because we like the car so much. Now, it might get only a few cosmetic tweaks on the outside, but when Audi unveils a sleek bar of LED that will play the role of headlight, the world will probably be amaze, since no supercar from a mainstream manufacturer looks like this.
Out spies have once again caught up with the Audi R8 V10 as the car was undergoing testing on the famous Nurburgring test track in Germany. The fact that the car has circular exhausts could indicate one of two things: either this is the GT, or it’s the regular V10 that now comes with the same powertrain as the R8 GT.
Speaking of powertrains, the V8 version will almost certainly get the same output as an RS5 - 450 horsepower. This will for the first time be available with a seven-speed double-clutch transmission instead of the usual R-tronic automated six-speed manual, which has been holding the car back in dynamic tests against the GT-R and the Porsche 911.
