Spyshots: Audi Q5 Facelift Up Close

Our spy photographers have gotten up close and personal with the prototype for a Audi Q5 facelift that was testing in Scandinavia. How close, well they probably had to use the Macro settings on their cameras to shoot the details on the grille.

So what’s this car all about from an esthetic point of view. Well, Audi is switching to a hexagonal grille design, and the Q5 has also been subjected to this change. Also, there reduced the number of black vertical bars (by 10 if we counted right) to make it look less cluttered. Other than that, the only visible change is that made to the fog light surrounds.

Updates to the engine range will likely include new V6 units, either the bi-turbo diesel or a performance petrol with 333 hp. We have no official information as to when the facelifted Q5 will arrive, but the best guess would have to be somewhere between now and the Paris Motor Show in September.
