Two months ago almost to the day, we brought you up close and personal to the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante. The car was sitting at a gas station in Sweden, ticking its engine cool and letting us admire its beauty.
The atmosphere today was much different, as the Vanquish Volante took on the mighty Nurburgring track in Germany.

Even though the body is identical to the Volante coupe, engineers have decided to cover everything up in the usual swirly camouflage.

Underneath that body is the same 6-liter V12 engine producing 565hp (573PS) and 620Nm (457 lb-ft) of peak torque. This is placed deep within the body of the car and is mated to the latest 6-speed automatic Touchtronic 2 transmission.

On paper, the performance isn't right up there with the 458 Spider, but this is the sort of car you drive that speaks to you. Aston Martin has some of the finest traction control electronics in the business that let you kick the tail out but still stay in control of the experience.

Frankfurt 2013 is the likely place where we'll be seeing this awesome 2+2 convertible making its official debut.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
