Aston Martin’s designs are always evolutionary rather than revolutionary. Put an Aston from 20 years ago besidea a brand new one, and you won’t be able to deny the heritage.
2012 is a very good year to launch a new Aston, since it’s also a James Bond anniversary. So far, they’ve introduced the V12 Vantage Roadster, the brand new Vanquish coupe and a facelift for the DB9 for the 2013 model year. They’ve also killed of an unnecessary model that was cluttering up the lineup.

These latest spyshots show that Aston Martin is also working on a facelift for the Rapide four-door saloon. This has been caught almost completely undisguised out in the open, ready for a couple of quick snapshots to be taken.

At the front, there’s a new single-piece grille, a deeper chin and a new bumper. At the back, just like the DB9 facelift, a bigger integrated boot spoiler was used.

And just like the DB9, there will likely be some tweaks to the engine and drivetrain as well.
