Car manufacturers aren't the only ones doing camouflaged testing these days. Some tuners proved their worth so many times and managed to create such exquisite cars that they earned the right to test their creations the same way a proper manufacturer would.
It's the case of the B6 Gran Coupe from Alpina. Just yesterday we were talking about the Coupe version of this car and today we had the most pleasurable surprise to see the men with long lenses caught one of their test mules driving around the city streets.
For the moment, the B6 is available only in Coupe and Convertible forms but today's spyshots tell us that the German Tuner has a surprise up its sleeve (maybe we'll even get to see it at Shanghai). The Gran Coupe will probably be based on the 650i 6er, the same as its smaller brothers.
It will most likely have the same upgraded N63 4.4-liter V8 engine with 540 HP and 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) of torque and the same exterior design changes that include the rear boot lid spoiler, redesigned front bumper and Classic Alpina Wheels.
This new model from Alpina will give BMW enthusiasts an even wider array of cars to choose from and this is just music to our ears.
