Spyshots: All-New 2013 MINI Cooper

MINI’s lineup is expected to grow to include 10 models in the near future, and a big problem will be model overlap. Fiat designed the 500 in response to the Cooper and MINI is responding with a the Rocketman, so where does that leave the car that started it all.

Well, it’s going to grow and grow until it becomes the size of the upcoming 1-Series GT, which it will share engines and a front wheel drive platform with. Prototypes of the new MINI have been spotted before, and we now have a new set of images showing more detail than ever before.

Rumors have indicated that a new three-cylinder engine range will be arriving under the bonnet of the 2013 MINI Cooper, featuring BMW’s TwinPower Turbo technology (direct fuel injection and solenoid injectors).
