We’ve seen the first MINI Clubman prototypes going around for quite a while now, mostly in arctic conditions but we didn’t see it on a proper track so far. And what better track than the good-ol’ Nurburgring?
That exactly where the new model was spotted just today, looking huge. According to our photographers, the car looks longer than a Countryman and just as tall, meaning that the Clubman will probably be the biggest MINI yet.
The car in the adjacent images seems to be a Cooper S model, based on the hood scoop and the air vents of the front bumper. However, unlike every other Cooper S model out there, the rear bumper has a different design, migrating from the usual ‘pipes in the middle’ look. Furthermore, the air intakes on the front bumper seem to be triangular and not rectangular like on the Hardtop.
The production version is set to make its world debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, exactly one year after the Concept was introduced at this year’s edition. However, production is set to begin next summer, at BMW’s plants, with the all-new B38 and B48 engines making up to and well over 200 HP.
