The all-new C-Class Coupe is widely expected to debut this September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. However, we can show you 90% of the production body already.
A nearly undisguised version of the car was recently spied by our photographers in Germany. It not only shows most of its production features but does so with a lovely shade of red paint. This signals that Mercedes is ready to reveal the car, something that will likely happen sometime in August.

This particular pre-production prototype appears to have the AMG Package, but also sports the famous "Diamond Grille" that looks like an explosion of stars. Other noteworthy features include a discrete rear diffuser painted in red.

Overall, the C-Coupe offers a distinct form of beauty that every Mercedes fan will admire. It's a bit like Charlize Theron or Angelina Jolie - a sort of universally appealing look that the vast majority of people appreciate.

We have no anxieties in calling this the most beautiful car in its segment. However, that doesn't count for anything if the engines aren't good. Recent reactions to the C-Class sedan and GLC-Class SUV suggest buyers are enjoying the new 9-speed automatic gearboxes. The lighter chassis and slightly longer wheelbase will polish that dynamic twin-turbo V8. Set your reminders for Septemberdge that the C-Coupe has always had.

For the thrill seekers, the 510 PS Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe will deliver plenty. But we think many occasional street racers will find what they need in the cheaper AMG model, the C450 AMG. It will have 367 PS, standard all-wheel drive and performance to match a basic Jaguar F-Type.
