Spyshots: 2016 BMW G11 7 Series

BMW seems to be dead serious when claiming that the new 7 Series will be, once again, the most evolved car in the world. Tests of the upcoming model are already on the way and we’re very excited to see how the new car will shape up.

Unfortunately, for now, we have to settle for spyshots of the second prototype of the car, captured by our trusty spy photographers this week. The second version looks a bit different from the first set of spyshots we had, appearing to be a bit larger.

The new 7er will have all the latest BMW technologies developed for the i3 and i8 and will surely also bring new features to the market that no other competitor will have by 2016. Amongst the ones that we’re already almost certain it will have we could mention a lot of CFRP body panels, a lighter construction, new engines and innovative EfficientDynamics features to bring fuel consumption lower.

Despite a lot of rumors that have been going around lately, apparently, the M Division of BMW is not interested in creating a larger M model in the shape of a possible M7 to take on the S8 and S AMG models but maybe they’ll have a change of heart until 2016.
