Our spy photographers have recently caught a Volskwagen Jetta prototype testing in the US, with the vehicle having its front fascia fully covered in camo. The engineers are out working overtime, as next year the company is expected to give us the facelifted version of the compact sedan.
While the carmaker has launched the Golf VII, which rides on the new MQB platform, the 2015 Jetta will keep the current model’s PQ35 architecture. This means it won’t benefit from the advantages of the new chassis, such as the weight reduction advertised by the automaker.
Nevertheless, VW will probably upgrade the engine range, with one of the novelties expected to be the 1.4-liter TSI unit. As for the visual changes, these will be minimal and will be aimed at putting the new family smile on the 2015 Jetta’s face.
