With all the hype around the new F-Type, you probably forgot all about the other cars Jaguar makes, like the XJ flagship model, a car you can stretch, fill with aluminum and fine leather and call it a Bentley on a budget.
But Jaguar hasn't forgotten about the XJ and is getting ready to update the car with everything people are demanding of their Jaguar. Technically, the XJ has received 2014 model year updates, but they left the looks untouched. A facelift will target the front and rear bumpers of the sedan and hopefully adaptive all-LED lighting that seems to be mandatory if we're to look at German offerings of the moment.
We expect a renewed emphasis will be placed on making the XJ more efficient rather than more powerful. Of course, the 550 hp XJR will still be around to scare you with its masses of power and lack of sufficient electronic nannies to keep in check.
