The Chevrolet Cruze has been a huge global success for General Motors, racking up sales by the millions. Even though it was launched as a brand new car in 2008, almost two million buyers found their way behind the steering wheel of one of these sedans (and more recently wagons).
The facelifted model we expected since a new front bumper was leaked onto the web has not yet been made available in the US, but already the American automaker has begun testing for the replacement model.

The next-generation Cruze is likely to debut in 2015. It is going to be built on the new D2XX platform, a fresh architecture that will be used by 2.5 million cars sold by GM under the Chevrolet, Holden, Opel, Vauxhall, Buick, GMC and Cadillac brands. What’s more, it won’t be just hatchbacks and sedans, as crossovers like the next-gen Captiva will use D2XX underpinnings.

The proportions on the new Cruze look a lot sleeker than they don on the current model. New body styles will also be introduced, including a hatchback version of the D-segment car. Some rumos suggest the D2 platform will even be used by Citroen models.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
