These over-exposed spy photos captured in Metro Detroit prove a report from earlier today is accurate. Cadillac is indeed working on the two-door version of new ATS sedan. Yes, an oh-so-sexy ATS Coupe is one the way and will debut next year as a 2015MY.
The ATS is perhaps GM's biggest achievement of 2012. The car that very nearly was made into a boring FWD machine is built around a brand new architecture and is considered to be a true rival for German compacts like the Mercedes C-Class and BMW 3 Series.
Of course, all the German makers offers really cool compact coupes, so the ATS Coupe should have no problem picking a fight with somebody.
On the performance side, the ATS Coupe will probably only come with a 2.0-liter turbo and the larger 3.6-liter V6. A twin-turbo V6 or a free-breathing small block V8 will come to deliver true performance to the ATS-V.
