In order to keep up with its segment rivals, Audi is working on a "mid-life" upgrade for the S6 performance sedan. We're not talking about major changes, just ones to bring crispness to the headlights and other attention-grabbing details customers in this very competitive market seem to appreciate.
Starting from the front, it's quite obvious that the S6's headlights are going to be replaced. We like to say the current model's LEDs are layered like onion skins from the bottom to the top. This new design will be much simples, two main lines dominating its design. They run parallel to each other and split up at the very edge of the unit.

The grille on the 2015 S5 will also be a little different. Fans who like to count chrome bars on Audi grilles will have noticed already that this prototype is missing a few horizontal ones. Moving our attention to the side, we notice what could be a slight bigger side skirt design. This could be a trick of our spy photographer's camera or a potential quattro exterior styling package.

The most interesting feature of the car will remain its still-brand-new V8 turbo engine. Currently rated at 420 PS and 550 Nm, this detuned RS6 mill could easily be boosted to around 450 PS. Audi's full bag of engine management tricks will ensure this powerful car, which can reach 100 km/h (62mpg) in under 5 seconds, will also be relatively efficient.
