Now that we’re starting to see some of the details of the 2015 Audi Q7, we can also focus on other aspects of the prototype. The latest series of spyshots shows the Q7 test car treating a corner with a serious amount of body roll.
Of course, this may or may not be relevant to the finished product, but what we can tell you is that the 2015 Q7 should spare up to 800 lbs (363 kg). That’s because the vehicle will use the VW Group’s new MLB modular architecture.
The diet will also allow the engineers to gift the second-generation Audi A& with downsized engines. Aside from the usual three-liter petrol and diesel offensive, the powertrain line-up could start with a two-liter unit.
At the other end of the scale Audi will place its 4.0-liter TFSI twin-turbo V8. The engine could be offered in different states of tune. A lower one could be used on the normal Q7, while a pumped-up version should power an SQ7 performance version.
