Spyshots: 2015 Audi Q7 Shows Details in Best Pictures Yet

Audi’s engineers are working overtime testing the 2015 Q7 and so are out spy photographers, which have managed to grab the best pictures of the SUV so far. As you can see, the 2015 Audi Q7 prototype has lost some of the camouflage. It’s silhouette is now clearly visible and so are a bunch of details, especially up front.

To start with, Audi’s 2015 Q7 seems to have a less massive stance compared to the current generation. Perhaps the slopping roofline is the one helping the vehicle. Nevertheless, the SUV’s proportions do seem a bit odd, at least in the current form.

Zooming in, the front fascia of the Q7 prototype reveals the air intakes, the styling of the bumper and we can even see the Audi badge under the psychedelic camo.

The generation change is expected to bring a 800 lbs (363 kg) weight saving for the Q7 thanks to the MLB modular platform. In fact, the whole vehicle will go down the downsizing path. The 2015 Audi Q7 engine line-up could start at 2 liters, while the majority of the units will offer a three-liter displacement. What’s more, the Q7 will also receive a plug-in hybrid version.

Of course, at the top of the range we’ll find Audi-Bentley’s 4.0 TFSI V8 twin-turbo unit. This could be offered in multiple outptut versions on the Q7 and should spawn a SQ7 performance model.
