The engineers from Oxford and Munich seem to find pleasure in teasing us, taking the 2014 MINI Cooper S Convertible from one testing facility to another in a daring display of defiance.
Our spy photographers were, of course, on the spot when they took the new cabrio out on the back of a flatbed trailer and quickly snapped some shots of the upcoming summer cruiser.

The car will be using the famous UKL platform just like its hatch brother and will be powered by a 2-liter TwinTurbo unit that develops 192 HP and 280 Nm (207 lb-ft) of torque. Combined with CFRP parts, the new car should be quicker than the one it replaces.

As for amenities, the F57 model will surely have plenty of new features, both inside and out for the comfort of its passengers and the protection of unaware pedestrians, both the active and passive safety features being already announced as 'better'.
