As Mercedes continues testing of the compact four-door coupe, the baby CLS was once again been spotted by our photographers near the Nurburgring test track in Germany.
The car is based on the new A-Class’ platform and will most likely launch early next year, offered as a new entry-level model to the Mercedes range.
The engine range will be carried over from the A- and B-Class, meaning a wide range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. There will also likely be an AMG version with a 335 horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged engine.
The production CLA is expected to show up at the 2012 Paris Motor Show this September, and will be produced both in Germany and Hungary. The US arrival date has not been announced, but it looks highly likely that it will make it there as a cheaper entry-level Mercedes.
