Is it a crossover or is it a box-shaped people’s car? We don’t know, but the Soul is probably Kia’s first truly revolutionary design. A car that propelled them out of anonymity. And even though it’s getting on in the years, they’ve managed to sell over 73,000 of them in the first seven months of this year in America.
A makeover for the Soul will most likely arrive with the 2014 model year, as prototypes have already begun testing around the world. The compact five-door model will follow the new design language seen on Kia’s latest vehicles.

The 2012 Soul has all the accents it needs in its headlights, but for 2014 they have designed completely new ones that are tapered towards the grille. Speaking of grilles, the gaping power one appears to have new mesh design. Round the back, Kia will introduce new graphics for the lights and most likely a redesigned lower bumper, judging by the placing of the reflectors.

The engine range will likely be the same as before with the exception of the introduction of start/stop technology. There’s also an off chance they will be making a hot version of the car.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
