The all-new 2014 Infiniti G37 is expected to arrive in the US within the next year. However, development of the car is not yet complete, as this prototype has spotted testing on Spanish roads wearing the body of the current generation model.
The test team was testing a new set of underpinnings for the luxury sedan, which will use a wider track. The new Infiniti G is rumored to use Mercedes parts and most likely a few engines, shared under the new Renault-Nissan alliance with Daimler.
It’s still too early to say for sure, but the G Series should include a coupe and convertible. There’s talk of downsized turbo engines, a better diesel and a hybrid version that uses the same powertrain as the M35h.
We have no concept to preview the styling of the G sedan. It really feels like Nissan is really strapped for cash.
