The BMW 3-Series started life as a two-door sedan, as the E21 was called in the good-old days, and later received variants like a convertible, a sedan and a wagon. With the arrival of the F30 generation launched onto the market this year, the Bavarians will diversify by also introducing a GT. Too many models? It would appear so, as the company will reportedly rename the coupe and convertible as the 4-Series.
Credibility is given by he sheer number of reports on this matter and by the fact that front end styling is clearly changed on this prototype. Speaking of prototypes, what you’re looking at might look like a basic coupe, but it’s actually a mule that uses the running gar of the upcoming M4. You can tell this by the fact that the car is sporting a typical quad exhaust setup similar to the current M3.

The rest of the cosmetic elements, the flared arches, the extended bumpers and the diffuser are missing. But we can king of get an idea of what the car will be like.

Under the bonnet will be a brand new 3.2-liter straight-six engine, clearly a throwback to the E46 (2000-2006) model. Combined with at least two turbos, this setup will result in output of around 450 horsepower, plus a significant reduction in fuel consumption.

Last car you’ll ever need? Probably.
