It seems like the BMW 4 Series will just keep on expanding, starting with 2014. After releasing the Coupe and the Convertible versions 4ers, the Gran Coupe version will soon follow, as our most recent spyshots seem to suggest.
Our photographers just caught up with the upcoming F36 4 Series Gran Coupe somewhere in Germany and the car looks production ready. Wearing camouflage in the areas that will differ from the Coupe version, this prototype was wearing the M Sport package too and the traditional Estoril Blue paint.
From what we can make out, the 4 Series Gran Coupe will be lower, wider and a bit shorter than the F30 3 Series Sedan, the most important differences being notice at the back.
No word on the release date of this new member of the 4 Series family but judging by the looks of things, early 2014 is our presumption. Engines will also, most likely, be the same as on the Coupe with the 428i and 435i models coming out at first joined by a 420d for the diesel enthusiast.
