We finally have a full-bodied Audi S3 based on the new generation MQB 3-door architecture to show you, and it looks amazingly sporty. In fact, were it not for the fact that the car comes with four exhaust tips, you’d think it could actually be a new RS3.
Compared to the regular A3, this car comes with beefier arches, bigger intakes, larger wheels a diffuser tail and an exhaust system that can make sportscars envious.
Rumor has it the S3 will be powered by a brand new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit with around 260 to 280 horsepower. As with the rest of the S models, Audi will place a clear emphasis on emissions and economy, only trying to match the performance of the old car. But, since the chassis is lighter than before, this isn’t a problem.
The previous production schedules of the A3/S3 point toward an early 2013 market launch, and the car is also expected in the US.
