GM’s European division Opel is undergoing restructuring that is hoped will reduce the company’s losses over time. This seems to coincide with the launch of the new Adam citycar, Mokka crossover and a number of refreshed models, like the facelift for the Astra and Insignia ranges.
These are the first photos taken of the Insignia Sports Tourer wagon with its mid-cycle refresh or facelift. Opel has concealed the changed elements, so we know we’re going to see new bumpers, refresh headlights and revised grille.
The biggest change will be at the back of the car, where Opel is working on a redesign LED taillight design, which we have yet to see since the test car uses mule assemblies that look nothing like the production fittings.
This looks to be the new bi-turbo diesel model with a 2-liter unit producing 195 horsepower. However, the rest of the engine range will also be revised with slightly higher outputs and reduced emissions.
