Previous reports indicated that Mercedes was preparing a design revolution for the cabin of its flagship sedan, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. As you can see in the adjacent images, we’re dealing with a complex evolution rather than that.

The center console has kept its proportions, but its middle section has disappeared, with the lower one now being beefier. As for the details, the four round center air vents that replace the twin trapezoidal layout of the outgoing generation spell “high class” and refinement.

The S-Class was one of the first cars in the world to come with digital instruments and the tradition will be kept. The second display, which is placed at the center of the dash, now seems to come with touch-screen capabilities.

We’ll be back with even more details of the new S-Class as soon as we get... their hands off them.
